Job Summary:
The Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that connect various software applications, databases, and systems within the organization. They collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop efficient integration strategies to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Solution Design: Analyze business requirements and system architectures to design integration solutions that facilitate smooth data exchange between disparate systems. Select appropriate integration tools, technologies, and protocols based on project needs.
- Implementation and Development: Develop, configure, and customize integration solutions using middleware platforms, APIs, web services, and other integration technologies. Write code/scripts to implement data transformations, mappings, and routing logic as needed.
- System Integration: Collaborate with software developers, database administrators, and other IT teams to integrate applications, databases, and systems effectively. Ensure compatibility, scalability, and reliability of integration solutions across different environments.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of integration solutions to identify and resolve issues related to data integrity, performance, and functionality. Troubleshoot integration failures and implement corrective measures in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Compliance: Create comprehensive documentation including integration specifications, technical designs, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures. Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and compliance regulations throughout the integration process.
- Deployment and Maintenance: Manage deployment activities for integration solutions, including version control, release management, and environment configurations. Perform routine maintenance tasks, updates, and optimizations to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of integration systems.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, administrators, and technical staff on using integration tools and platforms effectively. Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and offer guidance on integration best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience 3 years working as an Integration Specialist, Integration Developer, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of integration concepts, methodologies, and technologies such as APIs, RESTful services, SOAP, ETL, messaging queues, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, C#, or scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Experience with integration middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, IBM Integration Bus, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Dell Boomi Developer Certification) are desirable.
Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
