Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Strategy Development

Policy Creation: Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures tailored to organizational needs.
Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and prioritize potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
Security Planning: Craft and implement comprehensive security plans to protect digital assets.

2. Threat Detection & Prevention

Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic and system activities to detect suspicious behavior.
Incident Response: Lead and manage the response to security incidents, including data breaches and cyber-attacks.
Preventative Measures: Design and deploy security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus solutions.

3. Compliance & Governance

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Audit Preparation: Prepare and support internal and external security audits.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of security protocols, incidents, and recovery plans.

4. Security Awareness & Training

Employee Training: Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs to educate employees.
Best Practices: Promote security best practices and foster a culture of security within the organization.

5. Systems Management

Access Control: Manage and enforce user access controls and identity verification processes.
Data Encryption: Implement data encryption technologies to protect sensitive information.
Patch Management: Regularly update systems and applications to patch vulnerabilities and reduce security risks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Technical Expertise

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a cybersecurity role with hands-on experience in threat analysis, incident response, and security operations.
Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications.
Tools & Technologies: Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection software.
Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and COBIT.

Analytical Abilities

Risk Analysis: Strong ability to assess and quantify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Problem Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex security challenges.

Communication & Collaboration

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
